We spent 10 days in Hawaii on the island of O’ahu. It can be quite depressing to return to the dry and sporadic weatherof home after being in such a heavenly place. We did tons of stuff and were the best beach bums we could be.
Day 1: Flew into O’ahu Hawaii. Checked in the hotel and hung out on Waikiki Beach till sunset.
Day 2: We drove around the island. We stopped by Kailua Bay, the North Shore, Turtle Bay, Sharks Cove, Sandy’s Beach, ate fresh coconut, etc.
Day 3: Hiking up Diamond Head. Went to Makapuu beach near Sea Life Park (boogie boarding and body surfing). The Hawaiian Temple.
Day 4: Went on a pretty hike to see a puny waterfall. Watched the movie Iron Man. (good flick)
Day 5: Went on a pretty hike to see a puny waterfall, Snorkeling in Sharks Cove. (not many fish, no sharks), went to Macadamia Nut Farm.
Day 6: Went to Pearl Harbor then on a Submarine Tour. The submarine went to 3 or 4 different reef sites, anywhere from 80-100 feet deep.
Day 7: The Polynesian Cultural Center. An awesome way to learn about each of the cultures in Polynesia.
Day 8: This was the one day that Laura ended up feeling sick. And it happened on the best day. My family went to do an ATV tour that we were not planning on doing since Laura is pregnant. So we just hung out at the hotel, around the pool, and just relaxed and recouped after a full day yesterday.
Day 9: Snorkeling in Hanauma Bay. Sooo many fish to see here! Within 20 minutes of being in the water you easily see over 20-30 different kinds of fish! Watch the movie Indiana Jones (it sucked!)
Day 10: Sea Life Park & Makapuu beach. Ate Malasadas, Yum!
Day 11: Spent a couple hours on Waikiki Beach. Jason & Trevor (his brother in-law) went surfing for their first times while his sister Jessica went out with a boogie board. Shopping to bring home some Hawaiian souvenirs for our family and we went on a date to the Cheesecake Factory for our last hooray before we went to the airport.

day 1(sunday) went to church took a nap
day 2 had 12 hours of class and listened to ELDER FREAKING BEDNAR
day 3 had 12 hours of class and 3 meals
day 4 had a great p day filled with going to the police station to get finger printed and become a short time citizen of BRAZIL
day 5 had yet another 12 hours of class
day 6 yep more class oh and gym.
day 7 i spoke in church!!!
day 8 another 12 hours of class!!
day 9 more class oh and a devotional that was neat
day 10 PDAY!!! oh how i love the mtc haha
I love you guys so much. IM glad your having fun. Jason you better get rich and take me on my first trip to hawaii when i get home. love you guys
Jason, it's good to see you have a blog. My wife will be thrilled that we have another friend on this thing. Looks like a good time in Hawaii.
